With over two decades of experience, I began my legal career as a Guardian ad Litem, inspired to focus on family law to positively impact children and families. My practice now specializes in cases involving domestic abuse, mental health, and substance abuse, areas where I’ve developed significant expertise.

I approach family law with patience and creativity, listening carefully to each client’s unique circumstances to help shape healthier futures. I emphasize non-adversarial methods, guiding clients through Collaborative Law, mediation, or litigation to achieve efficient and positive outcomes. Helping families envision possibilities beyond divorce is a privilege I deeply value.

As a “double Gator” from the University of Florida, I’ve served as a Guardian ad Litem for hundreds of children, earning awards like the 2017 Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Service Award and the 2016 Judge J.C. “Jake” Stone Distinguished Service Award. I am also an accredited collaborative lawyer, law professor, and Director of The Barry Collaborative Family Law Clinic, supporting modest-income families.
